Being a travel nurse means I get to take a lot of road trips around the US. I grew up doing this with my family, so it is something I am fairly used to! Although, traveling for 3 days at a time on my own is a different kind of trip. I like to make plans for fun stops along the way, and that has also allowed me to stay connected to some friends who live in different parts of the country.

I’ve driven (or at least ridden) from California to Iowa on interstate 80 more times than I can count. Doing it on my own was a treat! When I went back to California, to avoid snow and get a change of scenery, I went the southern route. When I drove to Florida, I had some fun stops along the way too! See what road trips I’ll be taking next!

For those who might be interested, I drive a Hyundai Tucson. It’s the perfect mid-size SUV for me and all of my stuff! I am looking into getting a hybrid to help with gas mileage and environmental impact!
